4-H robotics competitive teams are open to youth aged 8-18, and youth aged 5-7 may participate on a learning team.  To participate in competitive 4-H robotics, youth must be age 8-18, as of Jan 1, 2023.  Teams will form in February and March, and will compete at the Allegany County Fair in July.  Teams that advance from the county qualifier will compete at the Maryland State Fair at the end of August.

Please note that team formation is dependent upon the number of adult volunteers who are willing to coach and a location for a team to practice.

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in any University of Maryland Extension event or activity, please contact us 301-724-3320.
